4. The Niagara Falls
Niagara Falls are located some 408 miles away from the City. Nevertheless, the place is astounding and definitely worth a visit. One of the naturally occurring wonders of North America, the place is so desirable that it invites a million tourists every year. Within the Park, there are three falls: Bridal Veil Falls, American Falls, and Horseshoe Falls. Of these, the Horseshoe falls remain the tallest and the widest, rendering itself most picturesque.
Numerous pristine trails adorn the borders for hiking. Additionally, the scenic view is bound to leave every visitor breathless. Orchards and wineries also line up at the place, and you can enjoy the trees, the breeze, and the joy. There is a brilliant panoramic view that allows you to look at all the three falls at once. You could either take a trip to the observation deck or just go boating at the base of the Horseshoe Falls. During the nights, there is a spectacular show of lights and fireworks adorn the sky during festive nights.
During its cold winters, the Niagara Falls freeze into crystal clear icicles, and the trees nearby become a freezing fog of snow-capped greenery. On clear days, the mist renders itself visible from the farthest distances. With its serenity and composition, Niagara Falls has also become a tourist must for everybody visiting the Big Apple.
