10. The Lincoln Park Zoo

The Lincoln Park zoo was built in 1868 almost 200 centuries ago and ever since has been home to about 1100 animals from 200 different species. More than this it also features the most wonderful specimens of flora the world has. The zoo boasts of the oldest burr oak tree which was planted in 1830 long before Chicago became a town. The zoo houses a variety of animals including the big cats of tigers and lions. There is a separate section in the zone known as the farm in the zoo which displays the most exquisite domestic animals including pigs, cows and horses. If farm life is something you’ve been wanting to witless, this also has a vegetable garden which also provides you with the opportunity to interact with farm animals and become farmer for an hour.
