Top 30 breathtaking places to visit in Chicago

17. Maggie Daley Park

Built in the honour of the first lady of Chicago of the same name, the Maggie Daley Park is a 22 acre park, built north-east to the city’s Grant Park. There is an outstanding evidence of Chicago’s outdoor architecture along with great place to relax. Other than this, the park features several highlights including the Climbing wall, Mini Golf,          tennis courts, cancer survivor’s garden and the Fieldhouse. There is another skating ribbon embedded within the park where scooter and rollerblade rentals take place.

The park is free of cost and is the perfect go-to destination for people of all ages for an urban retreat. It remains open throughout the year. A one fourth mile long ice skating ring is also within this park, where people could rent skates and enjoy with their loved ones. The play garden amid the park is the busiest, most popular attraction that is open to kids below the age of 12. Six play areas constitute this play area, and are the Sea, the Harbour,        the Wave Lawn, the Watering Hole, the Slide crater and the enchanted forest. Funny how four of six places are related to water? What else would you expect from a city full of lakefronts and watersides?
