20. Clarence Buckingham Memorial Fountain

The Clarence Buckingham Memorial Fountain, simply also known as the Buckingham Fountain is perhaps the largest and most proficient landmarks of Chicago. The structure includes a wedding cake styled fountain at its centre, through which water runs from April to October often clubbed with festive lights in its winter months. The fountain is said to represent Lake Michigan. There are also four horses on each side of the central fountain, each representing the states of Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin and Michigan. Located in trey Grant Park, the fountain has a reputation of shooting water up to 150 metres in the sky.

However, the massive water shoot is a part of the major display that takes place every day, given that there are no other events in Grant Park, and takes up to twenty minutes of every hour. During this time, the centre shoots an amazing height of 150 metres of water that comes lively splashing down the fountain.
